Alex is deeply committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences, which is why he personally ensures that every course is planned specifically for you. Alex believes that climbing instruction should be engaging, fun, and inspiring, but also designed to push you toward meaningful progress.

Every course Alex offers is tailored to your individual needs, with a focus on personal goal setting and reflection. These tools allow Alex to create the perfect level of challenge for you, helping you build new skills while progressively developing your existing knowledge.

Intro to Climbing 

Our intro courses cover all the skills needed to competently second/follow traditional rock climbs. We look at tying in, belaying, building belays, placing and removing gear and much more.

Rock Climbing Leader

Learn how to place gear, build belays and safely climb traditional rock climbs. We often run five day courses which are great for consolidating experience and moving on to more advanced techniques and more challenging climbs.

Advanced Trad Week

A week long course aimed at experienced climbs who want to reach the next level. We'll look at personal performance, rescue skills and more!

Self Rescue

Do you know what to do when it all goes wrong? Join us for a day or two of playing with ropes to gain confidence in the case of an emergency. Escaping the system, hoisting/hauling, abseiling past a knot and rescuing an injured casualty are all elements we usually cover.

Bigwall Skills

A course aimed at boosting your existing trad skills to equip you to tackle bigwalls like El Cap. We will normally aim to cover; aid climbing, jumaring, hauling and all the bigwall logistics and tactics needed to climb big rocks.

Multipitch Skills

Aimed at single pitch trad leaders who would like to move onto longer and more adventurous routes. On these courses we look at stance management, multipitch abseiling, avoiding tangles and much more.
